Massage Therapy is over 5,000 years old!

Massage therapy may be the oldest and simplest form of medical care. Egyptian tomb paintings show people being massaged. In Eastern cultures, massage has been practiced continually since ancient times.

A Chinese book from 2,700 B.C., The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, recommends ‘breathing exercises, massage of skin and flesh, and exercises of hands and feet” as the appropriate treatment for -complete paralysis, chills, and fever.”

We are not going to dispute this in any way!

In spite of being around for the past 5000 year, this ancient treatment was never more necessary than in these modern times we live in.

Massage therapy has become the ‘go to’ treatment for those feeling stressed, and suffering from aches and pains.

In corporate life heads of large companies even allow masseurs into the workplace in order to ‘de-stress’ the work force.

So, with this in mind, we have chosen these four different techniques to reduce stress, pain, aches and tiredness.

This, in turn, increases health and wellbeing.
